What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences in my career occurred early on, at the age of 19, when I joined Parity Group as a Bid Coordinator. Just three months into the role, the entire bids department unexpectedly left the company, and I was tasked with taking over the department’s responsibilities. Suddenly, I was not only managing the full bid lifecycle but also collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, including the CEO of partnering companies, to ensure the success of key proposals.

At such a young age, this situation was daunting, as I had to quickly gain credibility and confidence in front of very senior executives. I adopted a proactive and organised approach, prioritising urgent bids, creating detailed timelines, and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives. I focused on understanding the strategic goals of our partners and ensured all proposals were tailored to meet their needs, while also managing the internal coordination required for high-quality submissions.

Despite the challenges, I successfully navigated this situation, delivering high-quality proposals and securing business wins. This experience taught me the value of strong communication, the importance of staying calm under pressure, and the ability to build trust with senior leaders at a very early stage in my career.
