About candidate

About you
I am a BACP qualified and registered psychotherapist with in excess of 300 client hours currently working with CYP within a looked after residential childcare setting. I have 11 clients and I work creatively ensuring engagement whilst supporting exploration of trauma and early adverse childhood events. My core modality is person centred however I have training and experience with neurodiversity and behaviours that challenge. I work across 11 sites throughout the Midlands and from the therapy room at Head Office. My vast experience has enabled me to support some of the most challenging children and young people and I have built resilience and explored my own ability to work through and hold tricky relationships with clients who may otherwise not wish to be there. My core belief in the person centered theory has allowed me to build and hold relationships with children who have previously refused to engaged in therapy. I would love to expand my current work to other children and young people who may need this support. I am confident, creative, empathic and authentically me in the hope that others I meet feel empowered to be themselves too.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for either part time sessional work self employed or EAP work part time. I am looking for flexibility to manage my own case load ideally and to work weekends too.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am keen to work with you as I can see you have a variety of work with part time and EAP clients. It looks well suited to what I am looking for and I can see it is flexible to meet the needs of both clients and therapists.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging part of my current role is to engage clients who wish not to engage. Most of my clients prior tot his role paid to attend, where as these children attend as part of their journey within the looked after children's sector and so most of them initially did not wish to attend. To remain resilient and in the belief the relationship will be enough has been difficult at times however my client work is really making a difference now.
