About candidate

About you
Help individuals overcome life challenges and achieve mental well-being.
Support people in their journey toward resilience and personal growth.
Become part of a team that prioritizes mental health and positive change.
🏡 Flexible Work Setup
Arrange your work hours to match your professional and personal needs.
Work in an environment that values efficiency and mental wellness.
Take advantage of remote work while maintaining strong connections with a supportive team.
I am committed to creativity and personal development as evidenced as I have experienced a counselling role in schools, temporary accommodations, with international students and currently in an EAP role. I am constantly learning from my peers and progressing towards growth and development. I am continuously acquiring continued professional development roles.
I also prioritize positive change in clients and have a solution focused method of therapy. I offer six sessions half an hour each in the telehealth platform I work for, and as such we need to be efficient with our time and focused on client progression and mental well-being in a fast paced corporate environment. I am experienced at working remotely and prefer the flexibility this provides. I have five years experience supporting people towards resilience and personal growth as a Counselling/support role in a temporary accommodation, in which I helped clients create goals towards independence and mental well-being and helped encourage this growth through the therapeutic relationship and monitoring client progress. I had a similar role as a student/community Counsellor for Nilaari Counselling where I supported university students from around the UK in achieving growth, mental well-being and progression in their goals. I currently work for Square Health, a tele-health platform where I help employees, managers and executives alike in achieving their goals and moving toward resilience and mental well-being.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking to work in an environment where my contributions are valued. I would like to work towards personal development and creative approaches and want to be in a work place that encourages this. I want to work with a supportive team of people as I am a collaborative person that prizes strong connections and learning and progressing together. I am a dynamic person and enjoy constant challenges and changes as evidenced by my broad work history, and such love an environment where each day is not the same. I also want to work for a company that values mental wellness in its employees as well, as so much of our work is to encourage and support clients to work towards mental well-being and positive change.
What you are interested in working with us?
I believe this will be a great fit for me. I am constantly wanting to learn something new. I love collaborative team environments as well as innovative ideas. I am an integrative person-centered therapist with a foundational background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am always updating my approach and learning new ways of being. I have such a wide range of clients I have worked with from children to adults, and a lot of that is wanting to constantly challenge myself. The dynamic element that this workplace provides is exciting to me. I would also benefit from working for an employer invested in giving me flexible work options and also interested in my mental well-being hence me applying!
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging experience in my last role was balancing remote working with my needs at the time. I was also updating my skills and studying at the time. This meant I had to juggle a lot of different priorities in the past role. It was also the toughest time of my life as my mom had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in a foreign country. I knew I was invested in my growth and development, and that I saw myself continuing counselling long-term. I had to balance my desire to be there with my mom with shifting priorities at work and with clients. I undertook therapy at the time and ensured that I am processing what I am going through, along with upping my own self-care. I believe this experience made me more resilient over all and I can connect with clients who have lost loved ones easily, despite being quite young age wise.
