Dear Madam/Sir,

I am writing to express my interest in new opportunities as consultant/scientist/associate.

I hold a graduate and postgraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Calcutta, West Bengal. In 2017, I was awarded a PhD for my doctoral thesis on the Population Dynamics of Common Venomous Snakes in Agricultural Landscapes: A Case Study in Southern India and the United States of America. For my PhD, I was affiliated with the Marine Biology Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Chennai, and the University of Madras. I also had the opportunity to visit the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado, USA, where I participated in research projects that supported my doctoral studies. This experience was funded by the Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship (2011–12).

Since 2005, I have primarily been engaged in Wildlife Biology research, with nearly two decades of experience working with academic institutions and NGOs in both India and abroad. Through these roles, I have also had the opportunity to engage with students of various age groups, coordinating projects and leading outreach programs. I have facilitated workshops and trainings at educational institutes, helping to deepen students' understanding of functional Biology. My experience as a resource person for nature studies and in developing frameworks for project LiFE has equipped me with skills to create interactive learning experiences that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.

I deeply believe in interdisciplinary research/projects. I am interested in learning and constantly developing my knowledge and skills through multidimensional work environment.

Thanks and sincere regards,

Dalia Ghosh Dastidar, PhD.
