What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
Setting up of Colt DCS as an entity in crucial aspects like getting all the compliance and regulatory registrations done, assisting in finalizing SLAs for provision of employee benefits, and reviewing policies and frameworks for DCS India employees. Since Colt DCS was a greenfield setup in India, there was no prior framework or reference point available locally. I had to start everything from scratch — identifying applicable statutory requirements, ensuring we met tight internal deadlines, coordinating with cross-border stakeholders unfamiliar with Indian compliance norms, and navigating regulatory delays which are quite common when setting up a new entity. There were also internal expectations to mirror the global Colt culture, while still aligning with local practices — especially in finalizing SLAs and policies related to employee benefits. Ensuring alignment while maintaining compliance was quite a balancing act.”
