Throughout my career, I have worked with both private and public organizations. In my most recent role as Senior Sustainability Manager at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore, under the Ministry of National Development, I formulated sustainability policies and managed carbon accounting initiatives including the development of Green Building rating system, which has equipped me with the skills to drive effective sustainability strategies that align with global standards such as the UNSDG, GRI, and TCFD.
I have collaborated with diverse stakeholders to deliver sustainable design solutions, managing certifications for prominent Construction projects in India and overseas. I am also a Certified LEED Accredited Professional (US Green building council) and Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (Singapore Green building council).

What are you looking for in a new role?
I am very interested in this job opportunity as it is very relevant to my area of interest-sustainability. My cross functional and diverse roles has made me a good candidate for this role. Interdisciplinary thinking is a required attribute for problem solving in sustainability, looking from numerous perspectives to solve complex problems.

What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
In my previous job due to a multi-facetted project, we couldn’t handle all the roles and we had a niche role for which we didn’t have the expertise so we hired a third party vendor within our contract to do that small portion of the work. However the vendor always lagged behind on deadlines and this put us as a big organization in a difficult position before the client. So we took it as a good learning opportunity and we expanded our capabilities to cover those niche areas of expertise all well. So that when we go out as an organization we will maintaining the same service standards.
