About candidate

About you
As a dedicated healthcare professional for over 15 years, I hold a Master of Nursing in Nursing Education. I am a Certified Occupational Health Nurse – Specialist. My supervisory and management experience includes RN Nurse Supervisor of an Employee Occupational Health Clinic covering over 2500 employees, Charge Nurse Relief and as Manager of a professional insurance office. I am an experienced presenter, educator, and trainer to staff, patients and seminar attendees with individual and group instruction.

I have a combined 11 years’ experience with Workers’ Compensation for an employer and as a RN Field Case Manager. For the employer, I worked individually and as part of multifunctional teams to promote injury prevention and management of occupational health programs. I reviewed trends and frequency by department, causation, job position or tenure. I made recommendations and consulted with Directors/Managers of the responsible areas with increased injury/incident rates to develop workplace safety action plans to promote injury prevention and reduce or eliminate work related injuries. Working in the Occupational Health Clinic, I served as a urine drug screen collector with chain of custody and accessed multiple electronic medical records for record review. I completed Respirator Fit Testing. I assisted with audiometric testing. Early on completed spirometry testing.

For over 3 years, I have worked as a Field Nurse Case Manager to coordinate appropriate, cost-effective care by utilizing independent nursing judgement, and evidence-based clinical decision making to optimize and improve clinical outcome across the continuum of care resulting in a return to work and/or Maximum Medical Improvement and to be an advocate for the injured worker. I establish, maintain relationships, and build trust with the Injured Worker, Physicians, Nurses, Mid-level Providers, Insurance Adjusters, and Client Companies.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for a new role that will utilize my skills and experience as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse. My most recent role is focused on case management. I am wanting to incorporate my full array of occupational health skills in promoting employee health, completing health surveillance and health assessments. I want to use my skills to promote a safe work environment.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am interested in working for Naukri Mitra to use may occupational health nurse skills with the opportunity to work with different industries. I am looking for a position that will offer a work/life balance and have flexibility. I found the Naukri Mitra recruitment services online. I noticed the diverse opportunities listed on the website not found in other locations.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
As a nurse case manager for workers' compensation, the nurse has earn the respect of the medical providers as well as the injured worker. I was assigned to an injured worker that was not happy with the Workers' Compensation carrier and did not trust anyone working for the carrier. I made initial telephone contact with the injured worker and explained my role and responsibility as case manager. At the first appointment that I attended, I asked if I could say hello and introduce myself. He told me "He did not see the point." After the first visit, I was able to coordinate the health care that the MD had ordered, quickly and efficiently. He was able to see that I cared about him receiving the care that he needed. I was able to solve the problems in his care coordination. I was able to be proactive and think ahead to address his needs. He was able to move past the negativity he previously had and focus on his health and healing.
