About candidate
Later during my working experience, I faced many challenges such inability to translate thoughts in digestible and convincing conversation, gap between academic learnings against the live projects and inability to set up expectations based on the real time investment required in the actionable assigned etc. Later with experience I learned the importance of being on constant journey of learning, ability to extract the conclusions and action plans based on feedback to achieve agreed outcomes and the agile approach towards learning and unlearning to achieve milestone impacts with accountable timelines.
In my current organization, I have been responsible for creating many SOPs that can give a pathway to the new hires in mid management profiles, creation of process descriptions to gather quick understanding which can lead any risk or control assessment, incident cause discussions to the level of problem solving and solution implementing stage. I am proud to be able to implement some high performing controls such as “Focus Groups” for impactful operational hygiene, quality outcome and overall governance.
There are 2 commonly used terms in my current organization which are coined by me, while being implemented together during many projects. Those terms are – Hand-over friendly and Figure-out able. I look forward to gain more lively experiences while having an honor to work with eminent leaders in this organization. I am sure, our collaboration will be thriving experience for both of us.
There was a time when in my current organisation, post my promotion, I realised that my role has widened in terms of responsibility and the ad-hoc tasks that are peeping in my day-to-day bandwidth. This is where I struggled to orient my thoughts towards prioritising the tasks based on urgency and importance. This is when I created a time management mechanism, where based on urgency, severity and importance.
• I write all those tasks and write the timeline against them.
• Later I divide that timeline on my daily calendar, to ensure making a step-by-step progress on daily basis.
• EOD – I check the progress made an all the actions on everyday basis to be able to provide progress update to supervisors in case required.
This is how I can not only achieve the results within agreed timelines but also, the real time surprises can be handled then and there with a reform in the expectations.
Self-assessing the discomforts is the key to understand that there is a problem to be answered. Ability to monitor and manage your emotions and identify your motivations leads to self-improvement at the end.
