About candidate

About you
I have spent the majority of my career in Public/Community based health. I have achieved my MSN in Nursing Education and am currently seeking a fully-remote position to utilize my nursing knowledge. I have worked in many different public health areas such as health clinics, home visits, community outreach, prisons, and American Indian reservations. I also have experience with health and sexual education, teaching nursing students in academia, and giving public health presentations at nurse conferences. I love the teaching and education aspects of nursing.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am seeking a role that will utilize my public health knowledge well. I have accumulated 18+ years of nursing knowledge and would love the opportunity to teach/educate in a remote capacity. I am also seeking a position that will compensate me well for my almost 2 decades of experience. I would enjoy a position that would give me opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse as well. I can provide a resume that encompasses all of my areas of nursing.
What you are interested in working with us?
I found the position advertised online for a nurse working remotely in the public health field. The job description sounded very appealing to me. I feel the position would challenge me and would best showcase my skills.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
Teaching and instructing new student nurses in the way of nursing. It was a very challenging position, but very rewarding as well. I became attached to my students and loved seeing them grow and develop.

To Whom it may concern,

My name is Rebecca Williams and I am currently working at SSM in Shawnee, OK as an Employee Health nurse.  However, the majority of my career has been in a Public Health nurse capacity.  I have seen the barriers and challenges a nurse can face when trying to be the proponent of change.  My time working as a PHN with the State of Alaska, and with other American Indian groups, opened my eyes to how nurses can more effectively tailor their practices to diverse and, often, misunderstood cultures.  Using these experiences, I desire to be a leader and make a difference in the lives of my patients by unbiasedly educating and teaching on a wide-variety of health concerns and issues.

I look forward to hearing from you and would love to visit further during an interview.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Williams MSN, RN
