About candidate
I'm hoping to form connections and relationships with people, incorporate my teaching experience as well as my other skillsets, and most importantly, bring excellency to your company. In addition, I am seeking an environment where there are processes in place but opportunity to find improvements and create new ones.
I was transitioning to a new role while continuing the responsibilities of a current job. I was told to submit all faculty Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits into the American Osteopathic Association's portal by the end of week so physicians could maintain thier licensing. No one in my department knew this program or the passwords to access it.
I spent 2 days on the phone, gaining permission and access to the portal as well as acquiring contacts for training. I then collected CME credit details from 60+ faculty and imported their information before the deadlilne. I completed this all while doing a fulltime workload.
After this experience, I created extensive training materials to pass along to the next person and trained an additional coworker so history would not be repeated.

Dear Hiring Team,
I was excited to discover the opportunity to become a Remote Onboarding Coordinator because the of the high standard of excellency that your company exhibits. My interest in pursuing a professional change, stems from seeking a position that utilizes my education background to support new-hire progression, program development and executing events, three of my strongest attributes.
One rewarding aspect of being a part of a medical school, is Match Day! While working in the Clinical Education Department, I have supported the curricular requirements of students. This spanned from training how to navigate computer programs and processes of the Clinical Education Department, matching their rotation evaluations in New Innovations to documenting every academic move students made (tracking NBME scores, assessing evaluation comments, overseeing remediation plans and organizing course requirements). Having witnessed student successes and struggles throughout medical school, I feel pure joy when students announce their residency placement.
Within my past position, I was charged to design and implement a Preclinical Mentorship Program from the ground up. Second- year medical students were paired with mentors in desired specialties to talk about their day-to-day, rewarding experiences and unforeseen challenges to help shape next steps as students move into their clinical years. This entailed reaching out to hundreds of preceptors, surveying student specialty interests, creating discussion points and scheduling Zoom mentoring sessions (over 200). The initial goal was to launch the program in 1 year, but within 4 months, our sessions began. Although a successful mentorship program was started, a few learning moments surfaced, and this student opportunity exceeded expectations during the next academic year.
Responsive communication, creating connections, building trust and exhibiting excellency are a few key ingredients to successfully working with others and planning. During my career, I have facilitated various experiences from student orientation to a statewide Leader-In-Me Conference. My education background of being proactive, creating meticulous outline and following up on details has afforded me a new skillset in medical education, clinical event planner. Using project-based programs like Trello, Microsoft and Asana have been vital for tracking short-term goals, devising next steps and team communication.
I would be thrilled to learn more about this position and show how I can contribute to Naukri Mitra’s mission of delivering excellence; thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Susan Strickland
