About you
I am an RN nurse on a Step-down/Progressive Unit with 13 years of experience, working as a home care nurse, and also in clinical settings. This has given me a great perspective on how inpatient settings work and also how outpatient settings work. I am able to integrate these two settings for a fuller/holistic view on how best to educate. I am very passionate about teaching, currently support nursing staff, including precepting new nurses and also mentoring aspiring nurses in the field of nursing. I am Looking to be a part in fostering the development of the next generation of nurses.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for the opportunity to be part of the team that guide the new generation of nurses. It is important we have the right people with the right mind set and experience to be role models, mentor and educator so as empower new nurses to accept the challenges that come with the responsibilities of being a nurse.

What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging experience in my career as a nurse has come in different forms but with the same contents; It is difficult to teach new nurse about the profession of nursing when they have no desire to see patient as individuals, focusing on patient/family centered care, but more interest in the financial aspect of being a nurse. It is also a very hard thing to educate patient on health behavior he/she is unwilling to change. I also find it challenging to be expected as a nurse to fulfilled for require job obligations when you do not have the resources available to accomplish your goal(s).

I am very passionate about education and would welcome the opportunity to be impactful in guiding, mentoring through education the new generation of nurses. The experience I have gain through both inpatient and outpatient settings put me at a unique position as an effective educator.

In my thirteen years experience working in the field of nursing, I have come to appreciate work-life-balance. I do teach taking into perspective a holistic view on the trainee(s). Everyone is unique and would learn differently, understanding this concept not only affects how educators teach, but how effective their teaching can be in terms of supporting, guiding, and mentoring the next generation of nurses.
