What are you looking for in a new role?

What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One particularly challenging situation I faced was when a critical presentation for an upcoming board meeting was corrupted just hours before the meeting was scheduled to start. The presentation contained key financial data and project updates that were essential for the discussions, and its loss could have derailed the entire session.

Recognizing the urgency, I immediately contacted our IT team to investigate the issue and see if a backup file was available. While the IT team worked on recovering the original file, I proactively began preparing alternative solutions, including manually gathering the necessary data from other sources to recreate the most critical slides.

Fortunately, the IT team was able to retrieve a backup file, but it required some updates to reflect the latest figures. I worked quickly with our finance team to ensure that the most current data was included, double-checked for accuracy, and made sure that the presentation was formatted to the board’s preferences.

Despite the last-minute scramble, I maintained clear communication with all involved parties, ensuring that everyone was updated on the status and knew their next steps. In the end, the meeting went on without a hitch, and the presentation was well-received. This experience taught me the importance of staying calm under pressure, collaborating efficiently with various teams, and always having backup plans in place to minimize disruptions.
