About candidate

About you
I'm an eData attorney at Morgan Lewis. I have worked here for roughly 8 years. I am looking for an exciting opportunity to continue to grow as an eDiscovery professional, as well as exploring the ways in which technology can assist in that endeavor.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I'm looking for a role that will respect my intellectual and professional abilities while also providing those same abilities the opportunity to grow and be challenged. I also selfishly enjoy the flexibility of remote work.
What you are interested in working with us?
I'm excited to provide my years of document review experience to your team, but I'm also excited for the opportunity to utilize exciting new technologies to grow as a professional and a team member. I also appreciate the emphasis placed on employee well being and mental health.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
I've experienced many challenges in the past but the most difficult challenge in a past role would have to be the change from full time in-office work to fully remote work when the Covid pandemic forced shutdowns. I enjoyed seeing coworkers every day, so the lack of social interaction was difficult. Additionally, I found remote work challenging at first, but soon figured out ways to be more productive than i was in office.

My name is Mark Naegely. I am a licensed attorney currently working as an eData attorney at Morgan Lewis in Philadelphia, PA.  I currently enjoy the ability to work remotely, but have been slightly frustrated by an occasional lack of work and difficult managerial decisions. I have been keeping an eye on available jobs for the past six months or so, but have not seen any job postings attractive enough to make me leave a place that I've known for so long and that has been very good to me overall.  This position, however, convinced me to apply.

This position was attractive to me, and I believe I would be successful in the role, for several reasons.  The first reason is somewhat self-sh, but being a remote position all wing for flexibility in both the times and places I work is super important to me so that I can be as present as possible for my family.  Seeing my two sons grow up and being able to go to important events, practices, and appointments in monumental to me.

Additionally, the opportunity to continue my professional and intellectual growth through the utilization of various legal tech platforms.  I am extremely familiar with review platforms like Axcelerate and Relativity, but I haven't used every platform out there.  I would love the opportunity familiarize myself with as much technology as possible to become the most effective team member I can. The opportunity to work with team members across the globe would provide additional intellectual stimulation and professional growth.  The company's focus on mental health and employee well being is wildly important to me, as mental health is a pillar of my beliefs.

I saw this job posting and it was the first job posting I have seen in a long time to convince me to apply and be willing to leave the current position that I'm in.  I believe I can provide a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team, and that I would personally and professionally grow in this position.
