About candidate

About you
I am a Masters-prepared RN with post masters education to become a family nurse practitioner. I also hold a premedical biology degree. I have been working for over 3 years providing in home and in facility (skilled nursing) hospice and palliative care, while also case managing for my patient load. I am often described as: reliable, compassionate, patient, efficient, logical, empathetic, intelligent, and strong critical thinker. I spend my time away from work and school fostering at risk youth and/or animals in need.
What are you looking for in a new role?
Flexibility in location (ie remote) due to back injury that requires surgery. A role that expands and challenges critical thinking to promote growth. A sustainable income to supplement my current job, which due to budget cuts, had to cut hours across all departments and staff. The opportunity to help strengthen interdisciplinary communication and cooperation, as this has always been integral in my career.
What you are interested in working with us?
A new opportunity to engage with a different patient population, the ability to bring my skills to a team and promote growth, the possibility of working remote while still using my degrees and RN license
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
limited access to resources, requiring creative problem solving and critical thinking in extreme circumstances. I have been living in and working in a rural, mountain community with some of the most vulnerable patients (terminally ill). we have limited healthcare resources and due to extreme weather conditions have had multiple times in which walking to patient homes, shoveling patient driveways, and the requirement of problem solving complex patient needs despite inability to obtain supplies and medications until weather permits. The challenges of working on my own without always having another team member present to assist me has required some higher-thinking problem solving to care for the patient despite unideal conditions/circumstances

Dear Hiring Committee,

I am interested in applying to be a part- time or full-time remote triage and/or telehealth RN. This position was brought to my attention while seeking new opportunities for growth and diversity in my experience, and my interest was heightened when I learned my critical thinking skills can be advanced.  My time as an RN has shown me that I am not only enthusiastic about the role itself, but that I also work very well in autonomous, leadership-based and/or efficient organizer roles.

As a prospective teammate, I would bring advanced and broad education, experience working autonomously, experience in case management, experience in providing in-home support despite difficult conditions/circumstances, and consequently very strong problem solving/critical thinking capabilities. I also bring extensive, direct experience in not only working with but also managing/coordinating a diverse interdisciplinary team.

I believe my genuine interest to learn, my willingness to be taught, my intrinsic motivation to strive for self-improvement, and my actual experience are all of value. Thank you for your time and willingness to consider me for this position. I look forward to seeing where my career goes, and truly hope that trajectory is set with your team.

Sincerely,

Achlee Rodarmel
