About you
Hello! I am interested in the position of medical transcriptionist. I have 3 years of experience as a medical scribe in the ER as well as for an orthopedic surgeon. I am currently applying to medical school and looking to hone in on my newfound passion for pathology after shadowing a medical examiner last year.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking to expand my knowledge in pathology and use the experience I have gained thus far in my role as a scribe as well as my shadowing experience to do so. I have stood next to the medical examiner while he dictates external and internal autopsy examinations.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am interested in pursuing the career of pathology after completion of medical school. I believe experience in transcribing pathology would help kickstart my familiarity with the field.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
Most challenging in past jobs has been prioritization of tasks given multiple demands often at similar times.

I am excited to hear of the Pathology Transcriptionist position in which you are be looking to fill. I am an alum of UF with a Bachelor in Health Science and discovered this opening due to my pursuit of medical school. I believe my experience would be of value to your environment as I look to apply the skills I've gained to an environment which would allow me to develop even more.

I currently work part time both with Gainesville Emergency Medical Associates and The Orthopaedic Institute, where I have gained great experience with documentation and medical literature. I have learned firsthand medical decision making as well gained experience with medical and anatomy terminology, useful in any healthcare setting. I also understand the process of creating medical records and patient documentation as well as HIPAA practices.

I have also recently found an interest in the field of pathology after shadowing a medical examiner in August of 2024 and looking to further explore this. I would love a chance to speak to you and your team to formally introduce myself and share more related to how I could best serve your team.
