About you
I was working as a Soft skills trainer and a teacher for about 10 years. My interest in counselling began when i was able to help children overcome their problems and be able to speak with confidence.
My interest sparked when i saw people with happy faces and their smile and when they said they felt relieved.
As cliched as it sounds, i really love doing this and would love to continue doing it as much as i can.

What are you looking for in a new role?
I want experience. I want to be able to help more people and sustain their mental health.
I have just started and i would love to learn more. I became a teacher because i loved learning new things. I want to become a counselor because people need someone to hear them out without being judgemental, sometimes even without giving suggestions.

What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
My previous role was that of a teacher. The most challenging experience was to decipher children's mindset., esp after Covid Lockdown.
They were distracted and wouldn't want to do things told to them. but as adults what we failed to understand was that covid lockdown was harder on children than the adults. they lost 2 years of their childhood, for some it was their formative 2 years. that's huge for a child.
Children do certain things because they feel thats the right thing to do, because they don't know better. I felt we , as adults need to educate ourselves, we need to evolve to understand children's mindset

I am writing to express my interest in Manoshaala being a Counselling Psychologist. I am excited to see how my qualifications align with the requirements of the role and I believe that this opportunity would be invaluable for furthering my expertise in the field and gaining practical experience.
I am a B.E. graduate. I have completed my B.Ed degree and I have worked as a teacher for 8 years. During my work as a teacher, I would counsel children to boost their confidence or listen to them about any concerns they had. This sparked my interest in Psychology which led to pursuing MA Psychology from IGNOU . I have completed my written exams. Also, I have completed the project and Internship under the guidance of Dr.Gopukumar Pillai at Bangalore Neuro Centre, Malleshwaram. I will submit the reports for the same this November.
