About candidate

About you
I am a first-class law graduate with strong legal research expertise. Self-motivated and proactive, I have a strong work ethic and a commitment to producing high-quality research. Through my pro bono work and internships, I have demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, solving complex legal queries with a solution-oriented approach.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am seeking a new role that offers career progression, allowing me to build on my legal research expertise and develop professionally. I am eager to take on new challenges that enhance my analytical skills and deepen my understanding of case law across various jurisdictions. Additionally, I am motivated to secure a position that provides financial stability, enabling me to fund my future legal studies and further specialise in my field. A role that combines these opportunities and helps me to contribute meaningfully to a legal team aligns perfectly with my long-term career aspirations.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am mainly interested in researching interesting case laws, especially those that involve grey areas and legal uncertainties. I enjoy analyzing how courts interpret complex issues and how different rulings shape legal precedents. Working on cases with conflicting arguments and varied interpretations excites me, as it helps me develop a deeper understanding of the law. I like the challenge of breaking down legal reasoning and finding key points that influence decisions. This role would be a great opportunity for me to work on thought-provoking cases, improve my research skills, and contribute useful insights to legal teams.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences in a past role was not knowing when to stop researching until I found the exact answer I wanted. This often led to working late hours, as I kept digging deeper into case laws and legal precedents. While my persistence helped me uncover valuable insights, I realized that effective research also requires knowing when to stop. I worked on this by being more collaborative, discussing findings with colleagues, and setting clear research goals. This approach helped me manage my time better while still ensuring high-quality legal research.

I am writing to express my interest in the Online Case Law Researcher position. As a first-class law graduate from the University of Leicester, I am excited to bring my strong research and analytical skills, honed through both academic achievements and hands-on legal experience, to your team.

During my time as a project coordinator in my pro bono society, I had the opportunity to manage and lead a legal research project. This role required me to utilize various legal research platforms, including Westlaw and LexisNexis, to gather and analyze case law, statutes, and legal precedents. I was responsible for compiling thorough and concise reports, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the information to support legal teams. This experience not only deepened my understanding of legal databases but also sharpened my ability to summarize and synthesize complex legal concepts into actionable insights.

Additionally, my internships at Kotak and other law firms have provided me with extensive hands-on legal research experience. I contributed to the preparation of trust deed summaries, conducted research on estate planning using trusts and wills, and reviewed high-profile trust deeds, all of which involved meticulous legal research and analysis across multiple jurisdictions, including UK, Indian, and American law. These internships allowed me to further develop my proficiency in online legal research tools and platforms, ensuring the provision of accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information for legal professionals.

I am highly motivated and dedicated to producing high-quality research. My ability to work independently, combined with my strong attention to detail, makes me confident that I can effectively contribute to your team. I am also comfortable with remote work technology and virtual collaboration tools, which aligns perfectly with the flexibility offered by this position.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to support your legal teams with high-quality, actionable research. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team’s success and am eager to discuss how my background, skills, and experiences align with your needs.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.
