Additionally, my role as a Food Safety, Quality, and Production Manager in private companies provided me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by food processors in ensuring the safety and quality of their products. On a more personal level, I also provide consultation to individuals seeking to manage their body weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels by adjusting their diets—a method I have successfully applied to my own life.

Dear Hiring Manager,

With a master’s degree in food science and nutrition from Addis Ababa University and extensive hands-on experience in food safety, nutrition, fortification, quality management, and project coordination within various sectors, I am eager to bring my expertise to your project.

Currently, I serve as a Food Processing Safety and Quality Specialist under the Food Environment and Food Market System Department with the Feed the Future Ethiopian Transforming Agriculture project (USAID contractor). I am involved in a wide range of activities, including supporting MSMEs engaged in food production, collection, and processing. work closely with government institutions to provide tailored training on food safety, quality standards, new product development, fortification and workforce development. This work spans across 179 woredas, aiming to empower small and medium enterprises and enhance food security within the region.

Previously, I worked as a Factory Manager and Production Manager at ED Stellar Food Processing Company, a joint venture between an Ethiopian entrepreneur and a Dutch investor. My key responsibilities included overseeing production schedules, managing team performance, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and implementing high standards across the production line. I also led project assessments, budget negotiations, and resource allocation, while continuously improving the factory’s operational efficiency.

In addition, I held the role of Food Safety and Quality Control Manager at Prime Meat and Food Processing, where I developed, maintained, and updated SOPs related to food safety and quality. I successfully led the implementation of quality assurance and sanitation programs, while conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with safety protocols from raw ingredient intake through to finished product packaging.
