What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
Driving ESG performance in developing regions with no government/regulatory pressure has been a challenging aspect. With the lack of regulatory requirements or compliance requirements, there needs to be a strong direction, alignment of purposes, goal setting, SMART objectives and learning graph to achieve ESG performances in such regions.

I have 13 years of experience in climate change and sustainability. Throughout my career journey, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to lead and implement sustainability programs, craft and execute strategies, enhance organizational disclosures/ratings and foster collaborations to drive long term impact. The set of skills and competencies that make me a strong fit for this role include:

Subject matter expertise: Post my masters in Environment management, my work has been focused on implementing sustainability projects across different sectors, forte being on carbon emissions foot-printing (GHG protocol) de-carbonization and carbon market, sustainability data monitoring and reporting (GRI, CDP, Ecovadis, TCFD DJSI, SASB, UNGC, CSRD etc.)

Consulting experience: My experience in SENES Consultants (now Arcadis), Ernst and Young (EY) and as a Reporter Services account manager in CDP has given me exposure to different industries, diverse clients, global business domains and sectoral best practices for sustainability projects and reporting standards. In addition to technical know-how, consulting has honed my time management, project management and stakeholder communication skills which I aptly use in all my projects.

Stakeholder engagement: The diverse stakeholders that I have liaised and managed include- Corporate clients, Project developers, Third party auditors, Investors (World Bank, IFC, ADB, UNDP, GIZ Mac Arthur), Customers, NGOs, Community and Government agencies (ministries, government departments, national institutes). Ability to build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is my key strength in delivering implementation and reporting goals.

Enterprise and Leadership: The confidence to step-up, take ownership, establish new processes, and deliver solutions have helped me contribute significantly to change management and organization building; such as in CDP India, I worked closely with the Director as an initial two-member team to a full-fledged organisation scale-up. At ieng Group, I have built and achieved measurable success in the few years in sustainability function including - Ecovadis score from PArtial to Gold medal within three years and digitalization of ESG data reporting platform. Growth mindset, creativity, solutions-oriented approach, and synergized teamwork are the ingredients to such success. I always believe in knowledge sharing and have acted as a mentor to teams and relevant business units.
