I’ve developed projects like an AI-based collectible identifier and a brain tumor classification model, which gave me experience in AI pipelines, user understanding, and LLM interaction.

What are you looking for in a new role?

I'm looking for a role where I can contribute to AI-focused product development, research support, or LLM application testing. Ideally, the position would allow me to work remotely, collaborate with a team of innovative thinkers, and build or improve AI tools that make real impact. What has been most challenging experience in a past role?

One of my most challenging experiences was during my final-year project on brain tumor classification. I had to build a CNN model with real MRI image data, despite not having a formal background in medical imaging. I had to quickly self-learn preprocessing methods, segmentation techniques, and prompt-based testing to make the model useful for non-technical users. The process taught me how to break down complex problems, adapt under pressure, and deliver results in a short time.

I’m Ashwin Leo, a Mechanical Engineering graduate with a strong interest in AI development, especially in prompt engineering, AI tools testing, and automation workflows. Although my academic background is rooted in mechanical systems, I’ve independently built and shipped projects using GPT-4, Flask, OpenCV, and deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. These include a collectible recognition platform (CollectorAI) and a brain tumor classifier using CNNs.

I’ve cultivated a keen interest in prompt design, AI product usability, and workflow optimization. In both of my AI projects, I used ChatGPT extensively to prototype, test, and iterate faster. This not only sharpened my prompt engineering skills but also helped me approach development with a user-first mindset. I enjoy working on problems where natural language plays a key role in bridging user needs with technical tools.

I’m actively looking for a remote-first opportunity that would allow me to contribute to an AI-driven mission while continuing to grow my capabilities.
