I am a social impact professional with over five years of experience at kanthari, an international institute for social changemakers from around the globe. Adept at mentorship, curriculum development, training, and impact storytelling, guiding newbies and experienced leaders in launching and sustaining high-impact social and environmental ventures. I have closely worked with over 100+ social/environmental venture founders across 26 countries. I thrive in international/inter-cultural spaces.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for roles that support founders of social/environmental projects in different aspects like fundraising, budgeting, ideation of project details, deeply understanding the problem that is being addressed, creation of venture profiles, developing curricula for training, directing and shooting short documentaries about their work, conflict resolution within the team, etc.
Going beyond this, I would like to support organizations that are thinking along the lines of systems change, trying to bridge the gap in collaboration between sectors and the organizations within them to truly bring about effective and sustainable change.
What you are interested in working with us?
More than anything, I care about helping organizations that provide the means for social and environmental ventures to do their jobs effectively, whether it be through grant management, capacity building, linking to partners, refining of ideas and concepts, and/or any other areas they may need support in.
I like organizations that understand the need to strengthen grassroots organizations and empower them to create systems change hand in hand with traditional decision making establishments.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
When I first began my journey in social/environmental venture incubation, my most challenging experience was finding my voice with founders who could be stubborn and difficult to deal with. As the years went by, I found different ways to connect with such leaders. I found that listening attentively and following their lines of thought without judgment always helped steer them in the right direction. Given my varied experience, interests, and knowledge, I always seem to find a point of common connection that opens them up to considering me as a partner in their quest to make the world a better place.

During my stint at kanthari, an international institute for social changemakers, with a small team I helped develop and facilitated hands-on training programs tailored to learners from varied educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds. I loved putting myself in our clients' shoes and figuring out the most effective way to make learning happen. I took pride in each step of curriculum development, especially the extensive research and tailoring modules to the backgrounds, individual needs, and learning styles of participants. I worked with nearly 100 leaders across 26 countries, guiding them through an innovative hands-on practical curriculum that equipped them with everything they needed to start and sustain high-impact social/environmental organizations.
