About candidate

About you
I am a graduate student studying Biological Sciences at Dominican University of California. I am an athlete at heart and have played soccer for almost two decades. This and my passion for helping the environment are two cores to my identity and I am very proud of these things that have shaped my life. I have learned that I thrive in a team based role and I like to lead others and collaborate to solve problems or create new ideas/solutions.
What are you looking for in a new role?
Because I still have one more collegiate season to play this Fall 2025, I am looking for a part time job to help supplement school and living costs while learning about something that interests me in Sustainability. As an Intern at ERRG, I felt I didn't have a true role when i knew I could contribute more to the company and its project. Because of this I really just want a meaningful role where I can enrich myself in the job and task at hand while growing as an individual.
What you are interested in working with us?
The remote aspect of the job truly appealed to me but I also have a minor in sustainability and so the title stuck out to me as a great fit. Sustainability is a very broad term within the realm of Environmental Science but I think it is one of the most important because it inherently involves the future generations and I believe its crucial that we start thinking of these future generations and conserving resources for them so they may enjoy a full life and a beautiful, healthy planet.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
As mentioned above, I think the most challenging part of my internship was understanding the minor, administrative role that I had at a company doing some pretty big things. While I understood it was just an internship, I yearned for more and to embrace this challenge I simply tried to learn as much as I could about the whole process of environmental remediation.

Dear Naukri Mitra Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Sustainability Analyst position. I possess a
strong academic background in Biological Sciences from Dominican University of California and am eager to contribute any way I can and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of sustainability.

I am pursuing my Master’s in Biological Sciences at Dominican University. During my academic career, I have developed a solid foundation in environmental policy, human-environment interactions, and sustainability practices. My Master’s thesis, “Sustainable Tourism in the South Pacific: A Review of Fijian Resort Practices,” reflects my commitment to environmental stewardship and my ability to
conduct data-based research. Additionally, my Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Ecology & Environmental Science, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and environmental morality.

During my internship at Engineering Remediation Resources Group, ERRG, I gained practical experience in basic environmental remediation, water quality testing, and compliance. I believe that these experiences have prepared me to support any form of sustainability/environmental work and I'm excited to create a greener world.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to Naukri Mitra and beginning my post graduate Sustainability career.
Best Regards,
Cole Porter
