About you
I'm a practicing broadcast journalist and an English and Communication professor at a university here in the Philippines. I do content writing projects on the side, including ghostwriting, content writing, and editing, among others.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I'm looking for a space where I can use my passion for writing to add vaue to the projects of clients. I like helping clients build their businesses through the content I write.
What you are interested in working with us?
When I saw your ad, I liked the idea of helping people elevate their business or personal pursuits.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging expereince from my last side hustle was to be told that I was going to be removed from the job, along with 29 other full-time writers, after a week because AI will be replacing us.

My name is Gerthrode Charlotte Mabilog and I am writing to respectfully express my interest to apply for a writing position in your company. While I have a day job, I spend most of my evenings doing writing side hustles for a wide array of clients. My most recent projects include ghostwriting an inspirational book for a Filipino-Chinese businessman here in the Philippines and creating a financial literacy module for a finance company here in the country as well.

I finished a degree in Broadcast Communication/ Management from the University of the Philippines Visayas. I completed my Master of Education English as a Second Language post graduate degree from the same University.

I have been a television broadcast journalist for more than 15 years now. I am also currently a university professor teaching various subjects such as English, Media Studies, and Media and Information Literacy. Moreover, I have been doing content writing jobs for the past nine years, specializing in article writing, newswriting, writing scripts, blogs, ebooks, and books, among others.
