About candidate

About you
My name is Kestley (27), and I am inspired by guiding individuals on their transformative journeys towards healing, empowerment, self-discovery, and personal growth. I specialize in 1:1 counseling, with a passion for working with young adults, and those seeking to enhance their lives through building their faith. I love to use tools such as guided meditation, supportive scripture, and psycho-somatic based techniques.

My credentials include an Addiction Recovery and Psycho-Spiritual Transformation coaching certificate from Being True to You, as well as a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification with a base knowledge of Ayurveda. Additionally, I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from San Diego State University, where I gained a deep appreciation for various fields and their potential for holistic healing. While pursuing my Masters in Counseling Psychology, I have completed 17 units of coursework towards my LMFT, at the California Institute of Integral Srudies, further expanding my knowledge and understanding of the human psyche. I have worked as a coach, helping teens and young adults going through clinical treatment for various mental health symptoms for the past two years.

I believe in the power of faith when it comes to people's personal healing and transformational journeys. In my 1:1 sessions, I work with a mindful somatic (body) and present-moment awareness approach, sometimes involving safe experiments, to create a supportive and nurturing container. I also enjoy working with people who are action oriented and want to work on goal-setting and incorporating holistic habits to enhance balance and prosperity. My view is that the divine has is always working through us in unknown ways, and the more we learn to surrender to what is, the more we can find healing and peace in our lives.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for the opportunity to share my love of faith in the process of healing and counseling. I have been working in social work and mental health for the past 2-3 years and always feel that the aspect of my personal connection with the divine and sharing that love and faith that has gotten me so far in my own journey was lacking in my work. I am looking to step into a role where I can fully share this love and presence with others on their journey towards healing, and finding peace in their lives.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am interested in working with you due to the nature of the position. I have always wanted to work in a setting, with a company, that fosters this faith-based support. I imagine that the company also fosters this outlook within their work with it's employees. I would love to be a part of a community and work environment that has this at it's core!
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
In my past role, the most challenging aspect was working as a case manager, in a place that did not have enough case managers. It seemed like the work was consistently growing, and I did not have the capacity to do all the things I really wanted to due in order to support people. I always valued the times which I could really take time to talk with someone and be present with them. Most of the time, the nature of all the legal paperwork and moving parts would make it difficult to really have the time to be a support for people.

Dear Hiring Team,

Thank you for the opportunity to apply for this beautiful role. From the moment I found this position, I felt a deep resonance. The values of faith, compassion, and inclusivity you embody are at the heart of how I live, serve, and guide others.

For the past few years, I’ve supported individuals emotionally and spiritually through online coaching, mentoring, and teaching. My path has been shaped by both formal training and lived experience—holding space for others in their tender moments, listening deeply, and helping them reconnect with their inner light and with God. My faith is not something I leave behind in my work—it’s the foundation of it.

I’m drawn to the opportunity to combine my passion of counseling with my deep inner values of faith: not just offering support, but reminding others of their worth, helping them feel seen, and walking with them through the valleys and peaks of their journeys. I believe healing happens in safe, loving connection, and that’s what I strive to offer each person I work with.

I’d be honored to contribute to your team and support the powerful work you're doing. Thank you for considering my application.

With gratitude,
Kestley
