About candidate

About you
I’m a skilled mediator and conflict resolution educator, with additional experience as a restorative justice facilitator and a crisis response specialist. I have an extremely international orientation and have dedicated six years to studying the relationship between religion and conflict, lending a nuanced multicultural and interfaith fluency to my mediative approach. I am fascinated by how our belief systems impact our relationships, and am deeply passionate about helping people have hard conversations with clarity, creativity, and compassion.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for a role that empowers me to provide excellent conflict management services and influence their workforce toward a more supportive, inclusive, and unified culture.
What you are interested in working with us?
I appreciate the emphasis on preventative and proactive measures to reduce conflict and increase employee satisfaction, rather than a reactive and punitive approach. This very much aligns with my values and style.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
I worked previously as a crisis specialist, which meant I operated the national suicide prevention lifeline, crisis line (responding to concerns including but not limited to domestic violence, mental illness, abuse and neglect, grief, homicidal ideation, job loss and unemployment, eviction), and red line (substance abuse and addiction). This was a deeply fulfilling role but the stakes were enormously high on every case and the work was emotionally taxing.

Cover latter

With a strong background in conflict resolution and crisis management, I would be honored to contribute to a team that values harmony, inclusivity, and care amongst its workforce.

As a mediator and crisis interventionist, it has been my duty to successfully de-escalate high-risk situations and facilitated resolutions in diverse contexts, including police-civilian disputes, community conflict, domestic violence, mental illness, abuse and neglect, suicidal and homicidal ideation, and substance abuse. My experience living on four continents, widespread travel, and extensive scholarship of geopolitical conflict as it relates to world religions, has instilled in me a global perspective fundamentally that informs my approach to managing employee relations. This background supports me to navigate cultural and infrastructural differences with thoughtfulness, and adapt strategies to fit varying contexts.

I believe that my collective experience responding with clarity, creativity, and compassion in the face of extremely serious circumstances would lend itself well to the demands of this role. I am confident in my capacity to effectively train, lead, and manage a team to provide top tier people and culture management services.
