About candidate

About you
I am Srinithi Kanishka, currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Psychology with a strong passion for behavioral psychology. My academic journey is deeply rooted in understanding how early childhood experiences shape adult mental health, which is the core focus of my current research project on the link between childhood experiences and adult anxiety attacks. Alongside my studies, I have gained practical experience by providing counseling support to individuals dealing with emotional and psychological challenges, further strengthening my interpersonal and empathetic skills. I am now seeking to build firm career experience in psychology, especially in areas involving mental health awareness, therapy, and research. My strengths include effective communication, active listening, empathy, and analytical thinking, all of which support my goal of making a meaningful difference in people’s lives through psychological services and research.
What are you looking for in a new role?
In my next role, I am looking to deepen my expertise and gain hands-on experience in the field of behavioral psychology, where I can apply my academic knowledge and counseling experience to real-world scenarios. I am particularly interested in roles that allow me to work closely with individuals or groups to analyze behavior patterns, support emotional well-being, and contribute to evidence-based interventions. I seek an environment that values continuous learning, ethical practice, and a holistic approach to mental health. My goal is to collaborate with professionals in clinical, research, or organizational settings where I can further explore how early life experiences influence adult behavior and anxiety, while developing the practical skills necessary for a long-term career in psychology.
What you are interested in working with us?
As a passionate psychology postgraduate with a strong interest in behavioral psychology and mental health, I look to Naukri Mithra as a platform that can guide me toward meaningful opportunities aligned with my academic and personal growth. I seek roles that offer hands-on experience in counseling, research, or mental health interventions, especially in areas focusing on the impact of childhood experiences on adult behavior. I value organizations that promote compassionate practice, psychological well-being, and learning-based environments, where I can apply my skills in communication, empathy, and behavioral analysis. Through Naukri Mithra, I hope to connect with opportunities that not only enhance my practical exposure but also contribute to creating positive psychological change in individuals and communities.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the significant challenges I faced in my journey was balancing academic responsibilities with real-life counseling experiences while pursuing my Master’s in Psychology. Managing time effectively between theory-based learning, project work, and supporting individuals through emotional difficulties required both discipline and emotional resilience. Additionally, navigating emotionally intense situations during counseling—especially without prior full-time clinical exposure—was initially overwhelming. However, these experiences strengthened my self-awareness, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills, and helped me build the confidence needed to grow in the field of psychology. Facing these challenges early on taught me the importance of setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and continually seeking supervision and feedback—essentials in a psychology-based career.
