About candidate

About you
A Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) graduate with a unique perspective on environmental impact, stemming from a comprehensive understanding of aquatic ecosystems and human interactions with them. My academic background, coupled with hands-on field research in aquaculture and analytical experience gained through a remote product development internship, positions me as a capable and enthusiastic candidate for a Remote Environmental Impact Analyst role. I am eager to apply my scientific foundation and develop expertise in assessing and mitigating environmental impacts, contributing to a more sustainable future.
What are you looking for in a new role?
In a new role as a Remote Environmental Impact Analyst, I am seeking the opportunity to apply my analytical skills and scientific understanding to critically assess and analyze the environmental impacts of diverse projects, programs, and policies. I am particularly interested in a role where I can contribute to evaluating data, preparing comprehensive reports, and providing valuable insights that directly support decision-making processes aimed at reducing adverse environmental effects and actively promoting sustainability.
What you are interested in working with us?
I am particularly interested in the opportunity to directly apply my analytical skills and scientific background in assessing environmental impacts, as described in the Remote Environmental Impact Analyst role. The chance to contribute to data evaluation, report preparation, and providing insights that support sustainable decision-making strongly resonates with my academic training in fisheries science and my growing passion for environmental conservation.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
During my self-initiated field research project on aquaculture practices, the most challenging experience was effectively reaching out to and conducting surveys with fish farmers. Unlike many interactions in the academic sphere, a significant number of farmers were not readily accessible through online platforms or social media. This made initial contact and scheduling visits quite difficult.

To overcome this, I adopted a multi-pronged approach. I started by leveraging local connections and community networks, seeking introductions through trusted individuals within the agricultural and fisheries departments at the district level. I also dedicated time to physically visiting local community centers and markets to inquire about potential contacts and build initial rapport. This required patience and persistence, often involving multiple trips and in-person follow-ups to establish trust and secure participation.

This experience taught me the critical importance of resourcefulness and adaptability in research, particularly when dealing with populations less connected to digital communication. It highlighted the value of building trust through direct, in-person engagement and leveraging local networks to overcome logistical hurdles and gain access to valuable information.
