What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences I faced was during an external audit engagement for a large organization with very disorganized financial records and minimal internal controls. As the lead auditor, I had to navigate through incomplete documentation, reconcile inconsistent data, and deal with limited cooperation from some departments.

To overcome this, I took a structured approach—first, I worked closely with the client to understand their systems and identify key gaps. Then, I leveraged data analysis techniques to validate financial records, identify anomalies, and trace missing information. I also had to manage tight deadlines while maintaining professional communication and ensuring audit integrity.

Despite the initial hurdles, the audit was completed successfully, and we provided valuable recommendations that helped the organization improve its financial systems and controls. This experience reinforced the importance of adaptability, clear communication, and problem-solving—especially when working in complex or less-than-ideal environments.
