About candidate
I have always been passionate about music and dance, but I approached photography thanks to my father and my uncle.
My first shots date back to puberty, when I portrayed snippets of everyday life, landscapes and animals with which I grew up with a strong desire for woods and trees.
The passion for photography alternates with that for dance and acquires meaning in an introspective dimension through self-portraits and scans of the self, to then turn outwards and capture the soul of movement by observing and portraying other dancers.
In particular in self-portraits, photography becomes a tool for personal investigation, awareness and reappropriation of emotional spaces, in a conceptual escalation that goes from the sublimation of unlived experiences to the examination of what constitutes reality, and its acceptance.
I am now an artist, photographer, Dance Movement Therapist with a Psychodynamic Orientation, graduated with Art Therapy Italiana® (Bo)
In addition to the Dance Movement Therapy techniques ,I uses vocal expression, graphic- pictorial expression according to the psychodynamic orientation of Art Therapy Italiana®, photography and video art.
I am experienced both with adults and children, and I have lead Dance & Art Therapy labs inside the prison, Health community, Pregnancy projects; Autism projects; DCA disorders.
During Pandemia, I experiencer and lead research for online art therapy & Dance Therapy
sessions with collegues.
In 2022 I also collaborated as assistant for an Art Counseling Project with Indian Teachers (the project was created by Red Pencil Foundation)
I would like to work in team, if possible, getting and keeping in touch with the Health workers the patient is supported by.
During Pandemia we lead a study about shifting from working in presence to working online, and we found out that the tools and techniques can be adapted and transformed in many ways.
The first assessment is very important to me, and I will need to get much inforations as possible to figure out who I am relating to.
Because we didn't have the person side by side, but far, in its own home, and the challenge was to find a new way to connect through the infinite distance.
I had the fear that I could not hold the person during its activity processes, but I realized that using art materials was really helpful in this.
Another challenge was trying to keep the relation from one session to the other, and carrying the healing process ahead.
