Many of which have had adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) including; looked after children, domestic violence, trauma, bereavement, toxic stress, neglect, abuse, attachment disruptions. Art Psychotherapist CNWL, NHS Park Royal (Forensics) Sept 2014 - March 2014 • Co-facilitated a 6 month (honorary) pilot art therapy group for 8 adult men suffering from acute mental illnesses such as Psychosis and Schizophrenia; preparing to transition back to the community after being sectioned under the 1993, Mental Health Act • Followed a psychodynamic framework and Mentalization based (MBT) treatment plan • Made clinical assessments and decisions regarding recommended ongoing treatments for individual patients. Drawing from MBT, transpersonal, and art therapy approaches. • Experience with members of the LGBTQ and Transgender community presenting depression, anxiety, sexual abuse/trauma, self-esteem issues, drug abuse and sex addiction alongside HIV diagnosis. • Provided individual therapy sessions for SWISH clients.
