About candidate

About you
I’m a legal professional, qualified to practice only in Nigeria with a strong background in international law and humanitarian issues. I recently completed a Master’s degree in International Law, where my thesis focused on war victims in Gaza and the legal gaps in international rehabilitation efforts.

I’m now looking to bring my research skills, legal writing experience, and deep interest in justice systems to a research establishment.

I thrive on asking the hard questions, digging into legal frameworks, and producing clear, structured findings. I enjoy working with data, policy documents, and field reports to uncover patterns and propose practical solutions.

I’m particularly drawn to projects that touch on human rights, conflict resolution, and global policy.

What drives me? The belief that research isn’t just about papers, it’s about changing systems.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I’ll be looking for the opportunity to deepen my experience in legal data research within a structured, impact-driven environment. I’ll love to explore international legal issues.

I’m particularly interested in:
• Working with large sets of legal and regulatory data
• Enhancing systems for legal information management and classification
• Supporting legal content development that helps users access relevant legal knowledge easily
• Applying my research and analytical skills to real-world legal problems
• Learning how legal data is used in employment, compliance, and HR-related contexts

I also hope to grow my technical skills by working with digital tools and platforms that support virtual legal research.

Above all, I want to contribute meaningfully to the team’s mission while developing my own professional edge as a legal researcher in a digital-first world.
What you are interested in working with us?
The idea of working remotely with structured legal data, and contributing to tools or platforms that connect legal knowledge with job markets, aligns with both my interests and career goals.

I’m also drawn to the practical impact—helping people access the right legal information for employment, compliance, and everyday decisions.

Joining your team would let me grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to your mission.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging part of my last role at Lightfield LP was not the legal work itself, but finding ways to stay engaged when tasks became repetitive or purely administrative.

While I handled legal documentation, research, and compliance reviews, many tasks didn’t push my legal reasoning or allow space for deeper analysis.

That lack of intellectual challenge made me reflect on the kind of legal work I want—work that involves structured research, complex legal questions, and contributes to something broader than just ticking boxes.

That’s part of what draws me to this new opportunity.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m writing to express my interest in the Virtual Legal Data Researcher role. I hold a Master’s degree in International Law and have gathered solid legal experience across various firms, including roles in litigation, compliance, and legal research.

I began my legal journey as a Paralegal at Tajudeen O. Oladoja SAN, where I supported senior counsel in case preparation, legal drafting, and court processes. This foundation helped me move into junior roles where I handled more complex matters.

At Mavin LP and Gritstone LP, I worked as a Junior Associate, conducting legal research, preparing internal briefs, reviewing contracts, and assisting in corporate filings. I then joined Omorogbhe-Osagie & Co. as an Associate, where I focused on commercial law, client advisory, and documentation.

Most recently, I worked at Lightfield LP, where I managed legal documentation, compliance tracking, and research tasks. The challenge in that role wasn’t the legal work itself, but the routine and administrative nature of the tasks. That experience made me want to focus on roles with more structured research, legal data management, and analytical input.

I’m particularly drawn to how Naukri Mitra integrates legal information into employment and compliance solutions. I want to contribute my legal background and research skills to that kind of practical, data-driven legal work.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to support your team.
