Remote Outpatient Coder

As an Inpatient Coder, responsible for thorough accurate coding of diseases and procedures of each inpatient record through the use of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding manual, 3M 360. Encoder. Experience in retrospective queries to the appropriate physicians for clarification of conflicting and/or ambiguous diagnoses.

Coding all requested Inpatient records using the most accurate and appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment in accordance with client coding requirements.
Abstracting codes and assigning necessary demographics and clinical data elements required.
Used 3M encoder to ensure appropriate reimbursement and accurate DRG & MSDRG assignment.
Writing appropriate, non-leading queries.
Maintaining quality and productivity according to client requirements.
Completing all education as required within established deadlines.
Committed to continually improving my coding skills by actively participating in all education sessions.
