About candidate

About you
I'm a chemical Engineer with a Master’s degree from Arizona State University and hands-on experience in quality control, materials characterization, and process optimization. Proven track record in applying ASTM methods, Lean Six Sigma, and statistical tools to improve product quality and laboratory efficiency. Skilled in analytical testing, root cause analysis, and scaling lab processes to production in highly regulated environments. Strong communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience across R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams. Actively pursuing opportunities to grow as a Process Engineer with a focus on continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and innovative manufacturing
What are you looking for in a new role?
I’ve been actively seeking a role where I can apply my chemical engineering expertise to meaningful, forward-thinking projects that prioritize sustainability and innovation. This position aligns perfectly with my desire to work on process optimization, green chemistry, and collaborative, data-driven development — all while having the flexibility of a remote environment. I’m particularly excited about contributing to cleaner, more efficient manufacturing systems that have a real-world impact. This is exactly the kind of role I’ve been hoping to find, where I can grow technically while helping shape a more sustainable future.
What you are interested in working with us?
This opportunity represents the kind of role I’ve been genuinely longing for since I was an undergrad— one that combines innovation, sustainability, and technical depth within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. I’m particularly drawn to your mission of reshaping chemical manufacturing through remote innovation and cleaner processes, which strongly aligns with both my academic background and professional goals. Currently, I’m looking to transition from a quality-focused position into a more dynamic engineering role where I can contribute to process development and long-term impact. Joining your team would allow me to apply my skills in a more creative and solution-driven context, while continuing to grow professionally
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences I faced was during my time as a Material Characterization Intern at EnKoat LLC, where I was tasked with optimizing a novel roof coating formulation to meet demanding thermal and mechanical performance standards. Due to a limited budget, I had to perform 95% of the work using handcrafted methods and improvised testing setups rather than relying on high-end lab equipment. Despite those constraints, I applied ASTM methodologies, conducted thorough polymer testing, and used a data-driven, trial-and-error approach to refine properties like viscosity, strength, and curing behavior. The experience not only sharpened my creativity and technical problem-solving skills but also deepened my passion for developing sustainable, high-performance materials under real-world conditions.

To Whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my interest in the Remote Chemical Engineer position. With a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University and a strong track record across materials development, process improvement, and quality systems, I’m excited by the chance to contribute to an organization focused on sustainability and innovation.

Throughout my career, I’ve held roles that span R&D, quality control, and manufacturing. At GAF, I currently lead testing efforts aligned with ASTM standards and support lab-to-production scale-up by performing root cause analyses and optimizing testing protocols. While at Printed Energy, I managed ink production workflows, implemented Lean Six Sigma tools, and calculated process capability (Cp, CpK) for continuous improvement. I’ve also led cost-saving initiatives in water quality management at Crown Famosa and contributed to high-performance polymer research in academic and startup environments.

I bring strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and an analytical mindset that thrives in dynamic, multidisciplinary settings. This opportunity aligns perfectly with my goal of transitioning from quality-focused roles into one that is more engineering-driven and impact-oriented.

Thank you for considering my application. I’m eager to bring my diverse background and enthusiasm for sustainable chemical innovation to your team, and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your mission.

Best,

Emanuel Salayandia
