About candidate

About you
I am an experienced and confident pediatric nurse who is looking for an online nursing job. I am PALS, BLS, AND NRP certified. I also hold my CPN and APHON certifications. I have a passion for pediatrics, and am searching for something that is more flexible than my hospital shifts. I have experience as charge nurse, and as a floor nurse. We treat outpatients as well as inpatients at Midland Memorial Hospital. Our outpatient duties include administration of chemotherapy, blood and blood products, and other medications. I have experience with High flow, CPAP, implanted ports, and care of both med surg and acute care pediatric patients.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am seeking a role that allows me to apply my pediatric knowledge. I am looking for a part time position that allows me to work from home.
What you are interested in working with us?
I was interested in your company, because I saw that you offer a wide range of positions, and seem to work with your employees to find what works for them.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
The most challenging role for me was charge nurse. I loved the position, because it challenged me. It was difficult at times, however, because I had to know a lot about every patient on the floor, and be the contact point between floor nurses and doctors. The role holds a lot of responsibility, which I thrive with.

Cover latter

I have had the honor of working in pediatrics as a registered nurse since January, 2021. I am a confident nurse, and have been delighted to help new nurses grow. Whether it is a question on how to do a skill, or a reminder of how to give a certain medication, it has been clear that I am relied on by my coworkers. I have thoroughly enjoyed my new role as a charge nurse, taking on extra responsibility, and supporting the floor staff as needed. Life has changed for me, and I am now looking for a role from home.

My coworkers can attest to the fact that I have exceptional work ethic, and with certainty, I step in if help is needed by any other nurse.
Within the last year, I have the following to claim:
Certified PALS, NRP, and BLS
-Charge Nurse
-APHON certified
-CPN certified
-DSO of the unit (safety officer)
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing
I have been forced to grow as a nurse with the extra professional responsibilities I have taken on. I try to cultivate a positive and encouraging environment when I am at work, and have watched new nurses turn into leaders themselves, thanks to a little help. I am a huge advocate for helping new nurses grow instead of “eating your young”, and I am thrilled to see my efforts come to fruition. I am looking forward to progressing as a nurse further, with a different nursing role. I believe I would be an exceptional candidate to consider.

Thank you for your time,
Tracey Miller
