About candidate

About you
I am Diksha Surana, an aspiring Counseling Psychologist with a passion for supporting mental health and well-being. Currently pursuing my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Jain Deemed-to-be University ( ODL), I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to a dynamic counseling team.
My educational journey reflects my commitment to understanding human behavior and psychology. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Sociology, and Psychology from Mount Carmel College, and I've further specialized with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Psychology. This diverse academic background has provided me with a holistic understanding of human behavior in various contexts.
I've been fortunate to gain practical experience in different areas of psychology. Currently, I work as a Clinical Data Annotation Specialist at Frontera Health, where I analyze behavioral markers in children with neurodevelopmental conditions. This role has honed my observational skills and deepened my understanding of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI).
My interest in sports psychology led me to internships at MEG Sector and Centre For Sports Science in Bengaluru. During these experiences, I conducted interviews, administered psychological tests, and implemented interventions with athletes. These opportunities allowed me to apply my knowledge in real-world settings and develop my skills in one-on-one counseling.
To broaden my therapeutic toolkit, I've obtained certifications in Art Therapy and Sports Psychology. I've also participated in workshops on Case History and Mental Status Examination, Tarot Reading, Essential skill for a practicing psychologist and Body Language, reflecting my belief in diverse approaches to psychological practice.
I pride myself on my strong counseling techniques, active listening skills, and ability to solve problems creatively. I'm also adept at assessment and evaluation, and I have solid organizational and time management skills. I work well in team environments and am always eager to collaborate with others.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I'm an individual with varied interests. I enjoy sports, dancing, reading, music, and traveling. These hobbies not only keep me balanced but also help me connect with people from all walks of life.
As I continue my journey in the field of psychology, I'm excited about the opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge to support others in their mental health goals. I'm constantly seeking new learning opportunities and looking forward to making a positive impact in the field of counseling psychology.
What are you looking for in a new role?
In a new role, I am looking for the opportunity to apply my counseling skills to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young clients. I am especially interested in a role that allows me to conduct therapy sessions remotely, as I appreciate the flexibility it offers to support children in a safe and accessible virtual environment. I am drawn to positions like this that emphasize emotional support, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with families to foster holistic well-being. Additionally, being part of a supportive team dedicated to mental health aligns with my goal of furthering my practical skills in a nurturing and impactful setting
What you are interested in working with us?
I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to work with Naukri Mitra as a Virtual Child Therapist because of your commitment to creating a supportive and flexible therapeutic environment for children. The chance to conduct tailored online therapy sessions aligns perfectly with my experience in providing behavioral support to children with neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as my training in counseling and therapeutic techniques. I am particularly drawn to the flexibility of this role, which would allow me to balance my professional and personal growth while delivering impactful care. Working collaboratively with families to promote children’s holistic well-being is a mission I am passionate about, and I am eager to bring my skills and dedication to your team.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences in my previous role was working with video and audio material of children with neurodevelopmental conditions to accurately annotate behavioral markers and provide clinical suggestions. Each child’s unique presentation required careful attention to detail and a thorough understanding of behavioral standards in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI). It was often challenging to ensure that my observations and feedback precisely reflected each child’s behaviors and needs, as even small nuances in behavior could hold significant meaning. This experience pushed me to refine my observational skills and deepen my understanding of ABA and NDBI techniques to provide accurate, meaningful feedback
